There are many ways to get involved in Habitat at WashU! Our campus chapter is what you make of it, meaning you can come to as many events as you are able to. If you would like a more committed role or a leadership position, check out what’s available:

First Year Representatives (Fall Semester)

If you are a first year student and you are interested in learning how an SU club works and are potentially interested in applying for our executive board at the end of fall semester, consider becoming a First Year Rep! You will get a chance to plan a general body meeting and come to all of our exec meetings. Applications for First Year Reps will come out at the beginning of fall 2017.

Tutoring Fellows (Fall or Spring Semesters)

We are currently working on expanding our College Prep Program (link the page for college prep to those words) to occur more often and include both tutoring and mentorship activities. Check back at the beginning of fall 2017 to apply to be a tutoring fellow!

Advocacy Committees (Fall or Spring Semesters)

Starting in fall 2017, we will have an advocacy committee that is responsible for advocacy and fundraising events about three times a semester. The committee will consist of about five students who will devise advocacy activities that correspond to a certain theme for each month. Committee members will also help sell donuts during the week leading up to the monthly general body meeting. Committee members will learn how to engage the greater WashU community, learn logistics about SU, and get a chance to spread Habitat’s mission. Applications for the fall 2017 committee will be released starting in that semester.

Apply for Exec (2018 Calendar Year)

Executive board positions are held for the entire calendar year (fall 2018 to spring 2019). If you are interested in a specific position on exec, please contact us to learn more or you can apply at the end of fall 2017 for the 2018 board!
