What is Habitat for Humanity?

Habitat for Humanity is a non-profit organization, and our goal is to eliminate poverty and sub-standard housing worldwide. Through its many affiliates, located around the world, Habitat brings families and groups in need together with volunteers and resources to build decent, affordable housing.

The Washington University Campus Chapter encourages students to make a positive difference in the St. Louis community. As a Campus Chapter, our main goals are to raise funds for building Habitat homes, raise awareness about the need for affordable housing, and to build alongside future Habitat homeowners at various Habitat construction sites.

To learn more about our upcoming events, check out our schedule. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us.

Build Date!

We have a build date for this semester! On Saturday, April 23th we’ll be taking a group of volunteers to work on a Habitat home. There are limited sports, so check the date to make sure you can sign up as soon as the form becomes available.

Reminders and other News

Thank you to all those who came to our GBM last Thursday! We had a great time learning about St. Louis house rehabilitation operations with Habitat St. Louis liason Harper Zielonko. Hopefully we’ll be seeing you at events later this semester!
